Provide course descriptions as necessary Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in forestry, or at least 30 semester hours in any combination of biological, physical, or mathematical sciences or engineering, of which at least 24 semester hours were in forestry. The requirements for diversification of the 24 semester hours in forestry are the same as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. Specialized Experience Requirement:

Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-4 grade level; OR a bachelor's degree or 4 years of successfully completed education above high school (120 semester/180 quarter hours) with major study in forestry, range management, agriculture, or a subject-matter field directly related to the position, or that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as forestry, agriculture, crop or plant science, range management or conservation, wildlife management, watershed management, soil science, natural resources, outdoor recreation management, civil or forest engineering, or wildland fire science (no more than 6 semester hours in mathematics is creditable); OR combinations of successfully completed post-high school education (in excess of the first 60 semester/90 quarter hours) and specialized experience. The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. Examples of specialized experience include:
Assisting in preparing timber reports and maps which provide information concerning topography, livestock trespass, invasive species and general conditions of the area; assisting in executing fuel treatment plans, slash hazard appraisals and hazard reduction plans; assuring recreation areas are maintained in accordance with standards and reporting on condition; and performing maintenance on range fences or other structural range improvements. For the GS-6 level:
Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-5. Examples include:
Execute timber cruises and sample surveys; assist in marking trees using and adapting complex marking rules; conduct assigned portions of surveys and studies of recreation trail areas; maintain existing recreation sites; monitor and maintain existing trails and facilities; perform a variety of field studies of sensitive wildlife species; collect data in field locations and prepares the data for extrapolation; execute fuel treatment plans; maintain fuel treatment activity records. For the GS-7 level:
Applicants must have one (1) One year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06). Examples include:
Assisted with laying out sales in accordance with operational standards, guidelines and other instructions and points out variables such as accessibility, steep slopes, stream protection, nesting tree protection, wildlife and heritage impacts, fuels management and regeneration requirements; Conducted assigned portions of surveys and studies of recreation trail areas, facilities and activities on a unit; Monitored and maintained existing trails, facilities, etc. to ensure they are in operable condition; Assisted with performing a variety of field studies of sensitive wildlife species to determine numbers, environmental conditions and the condition of the species and its habitats; Executed fuel treatment plans, slash hazard appraisals and hazard reduction plans. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
